At Least I Finished It

It only took me six years to knit and assemble this sweater. This is my first sweater project, and I can proudly say it is my last...never again. Any future knitting projects will just be socks.

My evenings this past month have been spent finishing this project while watching all three seasons of Downton Abbey. I love that show! I enjoy looking at all the elegant dresses of that period of time...and the vintage sewing machines.

  1. It looks like a big project. Congratulations for the finish. I can say from experience, it is hard to finish a knitting project once you put it down.

  2. Congratulations on your finish. I have yarn I bought for a sweater (probably 6 years ago) and haven't yet started.
I love knitting socks because even when I'm slow they get finished and worn!

  3. Thanks! I agree that once the knitting project is put down it's hard to get back into the knitting. I'm a slow knitter too. Socks are the most rewarding knitting project. All of mine are now warming the feet of many.

  4. Wow! Great job! I haven't a clue how to knit. I'll stick with my vintage sewing machines. I do know how to sew a straight stitch.
